ददिाजनदेि ।

इस उत्पाद जिजिष्ट ददिाजनदेि / प्रजतदिच का उपयोग जिद्युत उपकरण (गुणित्ता जनयंत्रण) आदेि, 2020 के
अंतगचत जनम्न - िोल्टेि जस्ट्िर्जगयर और जनयंत्रण जगयर: आईएस/आईईसी 60947-4-1:2018 के अनुरूप इलेक्ट्रोमैकेजनकल
कॉन्टैक्ट्टर (कॉन्टैक्ट्टसच) और मोटर स्ट्टाटचर (स्ट् टाटचसच) के जलए लाइसेंस प्रदान करने / लाइसेंस के दायरे में पररितचन करने के
उद्देश्य से और बाद में समय-समय पर दकए गए संिोधन और भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो द्वारा तदनुसार पररभाजित प्रदिया के
अनुसार दकया िाएगा।
2.
ब्यूरो से लाइसेंस प्राप्त करने/लाइसेंस के दायरे में पररितचन करने के प्रयोिन से, जिजनमाचता, जिद्युत उपकरण
(गुणित्ता जनयंत्रण) आदेि, 2020 और समय-समय पर दकए गए उत्तरिती संिोधनों में यथोजल्लजखत अनुरूपता मूल्यांकन
स्ट्कीम के अंतगचत भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो द्वारा पररभाजित प्रदिया के अनुसार लाइसेंस के दायरे कों ध्यान में रखते हुऐ,
उत्पाद श्रंखला / रेंि अथिा समूह के संबंध में प्रजतदिच की न्यूनतम संख्या सुजनजित करके परीक्षण ररपोटच / प्रमाणपत्र आदद
सजहत तकनीकी फाइल के साथ भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो को आिेदन करेगा |

3. उत्पाद समूहन
3.1 इलेक्ट्रोमैकेजनकल कॉन्टैक्ट्टर (कॉन्टैक्ट्टसच) और मोटर स्ट्टाटचर (स्ट् टाटचसच) की उत्पाद श्रंखला: कॉन्टैक्ट्टर (कॉन्टैक्ट्टसच)
और/या मोटर स्ट्टाटचर (स्ट् टाटचसच) का समूह जिसमें एक सामान्य आकार का फ्रेम या एनक्ट् लोिर होता है, िोदक अनुलग्नक-I
की ताजलका 'अ' में उजल्लजखत िगीकरण के अंतगचत जिजिष्टताओं के एक अजद्वतीय संयोिन के साथ करंट रेटटंग की एक
श्रंखला हो।
4. नमूनाकरण और परीक्षण
4.1 नमूनाकरण और परीक्षण - प्रत्येक उत्पाद श्रंखला के जलए प्रकार का परीक्षण जनम्नानुसार होगा:
4.1.1 प्रत्येक उत्पाद श्रंखला की प्रकार परीक्षण ररपोटच के जलए: अजधकतम कायों के साथ सभी प्रर्ालन जनष्पादन
मानदंडों को पूरा करते हुए, तदनुरूप रेटेड प्रर्ालन िोल् टेि पर अजधकतम रेटेड प्रर्ालन करंट (या रेटेड पॉिर) िाले
कॉन्टैक्ट्टर (कॉन्टैक्ट्टसच) और/या मोटर स्ट्टाटचर (स्ट् टाटचसच) उपकरण और तदनुरूप रेटेड प्रर्ालन करंट (या रेटेड पॉिर) पर
अजधकतम रेटेड प्रर्ालन िोल्टेि िाले उपकरण का परीक्षण दकया िाएगा। परीक्षण और नमूने की संख्या आईएस/आईईसी
60947-4-1:2018 के खंड 9.1.2 और 9.3 के अनुसार होनी र्ाजहए।
4.1.2 टाइप परीक्षणों को परीक्षण अनुिमों की संख्या में एक साथ समूजहत दकया गया है। परीक्षण आईएस/आईईसी
60947-4-1:2018 के खंड 9.1.2 और 9.3.1 में पररभाजित अनुिम और प्रयोज्यता के अनुसार दकया िाएगा।
नोट: स्ट्पेयर, सहायक उपकरण और उप-संयोिन उपकरण का अजभन्न अंग होते हैं। उनका परीक्षण यथासंभि उपकरण के
साथ दकया िाएगा। (र्ूंदक स्ट्पेयर और उप-संयोिन जडिाइस का अजभन्न अंग होते हैं, इसजलए इनके अलग से परीक्षण की
पररकल्पना नहीं की गई है; परीक्षण करते समय सहायक उपकरणों का उपयोग दकया िाए)।
यदद सहायक उपकरण दकसी अन्य मानक (आईएस/आईईसी 60947 श्रंखला) की आिश्यकता का अनुपालन कर रहे हैं, तो
यह आिश् यक है दक सहायक उपकरण संबंजधत भारतीय मानकों की आिश्यकताओं को पूरा करें।
4.1.3 प्रत्येक उत्पाद रेटटंग/दकस्ट्में परीक्षण के अधीन नहीं हैं। उत्पाद के नमूने िैसा दक पैरा 4.1.1 में उल्लेख दकया गया
है, इस समूहीकरण ददिाजनदेिों के आधार पर लाइसेंस के दायरे के तहत समान या नीर्े रेटटंग िाले सभी उत्पाद रेटटंग /
दकस्ट्मों को किर करेगा।
4.1.4 उपकरणों की श्रंखला (जिनका एनक्ट् लोिर/फ्रेम साइि समान हो और जनमाचण में महत्िपूणच अंतर न हो) के जलए
परीक्षण दकए िाने िाले नमूनों का र्यन नीर्े पररभाजित इंिीजनयटरंग जनणचय पर आधाररत होगा, लेदकन यह इतने तक
ही सीजमत नहीं होगा:
प्रकरण I - एकाजधक उपयोग श्ेणी िाले कॉन्टैक्ट्टर (कॉन्टैक्ट्टसच) - आईएस/आईईसी 60947-4-1:2018 के खंड 5.4.2 के
अनुसार।
प्रकरण II - समान उपयोग श्ेणी के जलए कई रेटटंग िाले कॉन्टैक्ट्टर (कॉन्टैक्ट्टसच) - अजधकतम प्रर्ालन करंट (अथिा
अजधकतम पॉिर)के साथ रेटटंग, परीक्षाणाथच जिर्ार दकए िाने के जलए घोजित उपकरण के संगत रेटेड प्रर्ालन िोल्टेि पर।
प्रकरण III - मोटर कॉजबबनेिन स्ट्टाटचर (स्ट् टाटचसच) की दी गई रेंि के जलए, यदद दकसी स्ट्टाटचर कॉजबबनेिन का परीक्षण उपयुक्त
ओिरलोड ररले के साथ उच्चतम रेटटंग (रेटेड प्रर्ालन करंट) के मेन/लाइन कॉन्टैक्ट्टर के साथ दकया िाता है, तो इस
कॉजबबनेिन में जिजभन्न ररले रेटटंग िाले उस कॉन्टैक्ट्टर की कम िरटलताओं िाले अन्य सभी संभाजित कॉजबबनेिन किर हो
िाते हैं।

2x रेटटंग िोदक िमांक 7 और 9 मे उजल्लजखत हैं, यानी 5.5 दकलोिॉट और 9.3 दकलोिॉट पर सभी लागू परीक्षण दकए
िाएंगे।
4.1.5 हालांदक, उत्पाद श्रंखला जनमाचण में आसानी के जलए या जिद्युत उपकरण (गुणित्ता जनयंत्रण) आदेि, 2020 और
समय-समय पर दकए गए उत् तरिती संिोधनों में उजल्लजखत र्रण-िार योिना के तहत एक से अजधक र्रणों में फैले समान
मौजलक जडिाइन के मामले में, परीक्षण की गई उच्च उत्पाद रेटटंग र्रण-िार योिना के अन्य र्रण की कम उत्पाद रेटटंग
(रेटटंग) को किर करेगी।
4.1.6 तथाजप, अनुलग्नक –II की ताजलका 'ब’ में यथा उजल्लजखत मामलों के जलए लाइसेंस के दायरे में उसे िाजमल करने के
जलए प्रकार की अलग परीक्षण ररपोटच अपेजक्षत नहीं है।
4.1.7 एसी और डीसी दोनों िोल्टेि रेटटंग िाले कॉन्टैक्ट्टसच/स्ट्टाटचसच का परीक्षण एसी और डीसी दोनों उपयोग श्ेजणयों के
जलए अलग-अलग दकया िाएगा।

नोट: िगीकरण सांकेजतक है और दकसी भी जिजिष्ट आिश्यकता के आधार पर संभाजित िगीकरण बढाया िा सकता है।

परीक्षण दकया िाता है।

ग)
एक, दो, तीन और र्ार पोल
यदद उच्च पोल संयोिन िाले उपकरण का परीक्षण दकया िाता है,
तो पोल की समान जडिाइनों के अधीन कम पोल संयोिन िाले
उपकरण को किर दकया िाएगा।
उदाहरण के जलए, 4 पोल जडिाइस परीक्षण में 3 पोल और 2 पोल
जडिाइस िाजमल होगी, 1 पोल िाले जडिाइस का अलग से परीक्षण
दकया िाएगा।
घ)
एकाजधक िॉटच सर्कचट ब्रेककंग क्षमता
(एमपीएसडी के जलए)
तदनुरूपी प्रर्ालन िोल्टेि के साथ उच्चतम ब्रेककंग क्षमता और
तदनुरूपी ब्रेककंग क्षमता के साथ उच्चतम प्रर्ालन िोल्टेि का
परीक्षण दकए िाने की आिश्यकता होगी।
ङ)
उपकरण के जलए कई प्रकार के िॉटच-
सर्कचट सुरक्षात्मक जडिाइस
(एससीपीडी)
बराबर या उच्चतर लेट थ्रू ऊिाच (I2t) क्षमता िाले एससीपीडी अन्य
एससीपीडी को किर करते हैं।
र्)
जिजभन्न प्रकार के ररलीि के साथ उत्पाद
(िंट, अंडर-िोल्टेि, अंडर-करंट,
ओिरलोड टाइम-जडले, स्ट्टाल ररले
आदद) जिसमें अलग-अलग
जििेिताएं/सेटटंग्स होती हैं
यदद दकसी उत्पाद श्रंखला का परीक्षण प्रजतजनजध ररलीि के साथ
दकया िाता है, तो यह अन्य िैररएंट को किर करेगा। तथाजप,
जिजनमाचता द्वारा ऐसे सभी ररलीि के जलए घोिणा प्रदान की
िाएगी।
छ)
टाइप 2 समन्िय के जलए परखे गए
उत्पाद
यह माना िाएगा दक टाइप 1 समन्िय भी किर गया है।

F. No. 8(1)/2018-HEI-Part (1).––Product Specific Guidelines for Low Voltage Switchgear and
Controlgear: Electromechanical Contactor(s) and Motor Starter(s) conforming to IS/IEC 60947-4-1:2018
under Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Order and subsequent amendments made from time to time.
1.
This Product Specific Guidelines/sampling shall be used for the purpose of grant of licence/change in scope
of licence for Low Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear: Electromechanical Contactors and Motor Starters conforming
to IS/IEC 60947-4-1:2018 under Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Order, 2020 and subsequent amendments
made from time to time and as per the procedure defined by Bureau of Indian Standards, accordingly.

For purpose of obtaining the licence/change in scope of licence from the Bureau, Manufacturer shall apply to
Bureau of Indian Standards ascertaining the scope of licence and technical file including test report(s) /certificate(s),
etc. as per the procedure defined by the Bureau of Indian Standards under the Conformity Assessment Scheme as
mentioned in the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Order, 2020 and subsequent amendments made from time to
time ensuring the minimum number of sample(s) in respect of a product series/ range or group.
3. Product Grouping
3.1
Product Series of Electromechanical Contactor(s) and Motor Starter(s) - A group of Contactor(s) and/or
Motor Starter(s) having a common frame size or enclosure 1 used for a range of current ratings with a unique
combination of feature(s) under classification mention in Table A at Annexure-I.
4. Sampling and Testing
4.1 sampling and testing - The type test for each product series shall be as below:
4.1.1
For each product series type test report: Contactor(s) and/or Motor Starter(s) equipment with Maximum
rated operational current (or rated power), at corresponding rated operational voltage and equipment with maximum
rated operational voltage, at corresponding rated operational current (or rated power), with maximum functions

dimensions of which are same to a range of current ratings.

satisfying all operational performance criteria shall be tested. The test and number of sample(s) must be in accordance
with the clause 9.1.2 and 9.3 of IS/IEC 60947-4-1:2018.
4.1.2
Type tests are grouped together in a number of sequences, the test shall be done as per sequence and
applicability defined in clause 9.1.2 and 9.3.1 of IS/IEC 60947-4-1:2018.
Note- Spares, accessories and sub-assemblies are integral part of equipment. They shall be tested as far as
possible with the equipment. (Spares and sub-assemblies being the integral part of the device, separate testing
is not envisaged; Accessories may please be used while testing.
In case, the accessories are complying to the requirement of any other standard (IS/IEC 60947 series) then
accessories shall meet the requirements of the respective Indian Standards.
4.1.3
Each product rating(s) /varieties may not be subjected to testing. Product sample as mentioned in para 4.1.1
will cover all the Product rating (s) / varieties having ratings equal or below under the Scope of Licence is by virtue of
this grouping guidelines.
4.1.4
The selection of samples to be tested for a series of devices with same enclosure / frame size and without
significant difference in construction shall be based on engineering judgement including but not limited to as defined
below:
Case I - Contactor(s) having multiple utilization category – As per Clause 5.4.2 of IS/IEC 60947-4-1:2018.
Case II - Contactor(s) having multiple ratings for same utilization category – rating with max. Operational
current (or maximum power), at the corresponding rated operational voltages of the equipment declared to be
considered for test purpose.
Case III – For a given range of motor combination starter(s), if any Starter combination is tested with the
Main/Line Contactor of a highest rating (rated operational current) with suitable overload relay then all other
possible combination(s) with lower complexities of the same Contactor with different relays ratings are
covered by this combination.

All applicable tests will be conducted on 2x ratings mentioned at sr. no 7 and 9 i.e. 5.5 kW & 9.3 kW.
4.1.5 However, for ease of Product Series formation or in case of same fundamental design spread in more than one
phases under phase -wise plan as mentioned Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Order, 2020 and subsequent
amendments made from time to time, higher product rating(s) tested will cover the lower product ratings(s) of other
phase of phase -wise plan.
4.1.6 However, for cases as mentioned in Table B of Annexure-II separate type test report is not required for inclusion
of the same under scope of license.
4.1.7 Contactors/starters having both AC & DC voltage ratings shall be tested separately for both AC & DC utilization
categories.
