का.आ. 2982(अ).—भारतीय ंानक ब् यूरयोग अजधजनयं, 2016 (2016 का 11) की धारा 16 द्वारा प्रदत् त िजतियय का
प्रययोगग करते हुए, रर जिन् ि (गुणव्ा जनयं्ण) आदेि, 2023 के अजधक्रंण ंें, ऐसे अजधक्रंण से पिले दकए गए या दकए
िाने के जलए छयोगडे गए कायों कयोग छयोगडकर, केंद्र सरकार का, भारतीय ंानक ब् यूरयोग से परांिध करने के बाद यि ं त ि दक
यि िनजित ंें आवश् यक अववा जितकर ि , अत: एतद्द्वारा जनम् नजलजखत आदेि करती ि , नांत:-
1. संजिप् त िी्धक रर प्रारंभ -(1) इस आदेि कयोग जिन् ि (गुणवत् ता जनयं्ण) आदेि, 2024 किा िाएगा।
(2) इस आदेि ंें अन्यवा प्रावधान के जसवाय, यि आदेि 1 िनवरी, 2025 कयोग लागू ियोगगा।
2. ंानक जिह्न का अजनवायध प्रययोगग–ताजलका के कॉलं (2) ंें जवजनर्दधष् ट वस्ट् तुएं या सांान ताजलका के कॉलं (3) ंें
उजल्लजखत तदनुरूपी भारतीय ंानक के अनुरूप ि गे तवा उन पर भारतीय ंानक ब् यूरयोग (अनुपालन ंूल् यांकन) जवजनयं,
2018 की अनुसूिी-II के स्ट् कीं-I के अनुसार भारतीय ंानक ब् यूरयोग के लाइसेंस के तित ंानक जिह्न लगा ियोगगा।

ORDER
New Delhi, the 26th July, 2024
S.O. 2982(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian Standards
Act, 2016 (11 of 2016) and in supersession of the Hinges (Quality Control) Order, 2023, except as respects things
done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian
Standards, is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest, hereby makes the following
Order, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement. – (1) This Order may be called the Hinges (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
(2) Save as otherwise provided in this Order, it shall come into force on the 1st January, 2025.
2. Compulsory use of Standard Mark.- Goods or articles specified in column (2) of the Table shall conform to the
corresponding Indian Standard mentioned in column (3) of the Table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence
from the Bureau as per Scheme-1 of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment)
Regulations, 2018:
Provided that the small enterprises and micro enterprises, as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006) shall conform to such Indian Standards from the date specified in the
corresponding entry under columns (6) and (7) of the Table respectively:
Provided that nothing in this Order shall apply to goods or articles manufactured domestically for export.
3. Certification and enforcement authority.- The Bureau shall be the certifying and enforcing authority for the
Goods or articles specified in column (2) of the Table.
4. Penalty for Contravention.- Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under
the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
