आदेश
नई दिल्ली, 13 नवम्बर, 2025
का.आ. 5179(अ).—चूंकि भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो अधिनियम, 2016 (2016 का 11) की धारा 17 और धारा 25 के साथ पठित धारा 16 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार, यह राय रखते हुए कि जनहित में ऐसा करना आवश्यक और समीचीन है, और भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो के परामर्श से, मशीनरी और विद्युत उपकरण सुरक्षा (सार्वत्रिक तकनीकी विनियमन) आदेश, 2024 को संशोधित करने के लिए निम्नलिखित आदेश जारी करती है, अर्थात्:-
- (1) इस आदेश को मशीनरी और विद्युत उपकरण सुरक्षा (सार्वत्रिक तकनीकी विनियमन) द्वितीय संशोधन आदेश, 2025 कहा जाएगा।
(2) यह आधिकारिक राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होगा।
- मशीनरी और विद्युत उपकरण सुरक्षा (सार्वत्रिक तकनीकी विनियमन) आदेश, 2024 में, पैरा 1 के उप-पैरा (2) में शब्दों "आधिकारिक राजपत्र में इसके प्रकाशन की तारीख से एक वर्ष के बाद", जिन्हें मशीनरी और विद्युत उपकरण सुरक्षा (सार्वत्रिक तकनीकी विनियमन) संशोधन आदेश, 2025 के तहत संशोधित करके "1 सितंबर, 2026 को" किया गया था, के लिए "ऐसी तारीख से जैसा कि केंद्र सरकार द्वारा आधिकारिक राजपत्र में अधिसूचित की जाए" शब्दों को प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा।

नोट: मूल आदेश, अर्थात् मशीनरी और विद्युत उपकरण सुरक्षा (सार्वत्रिक तकनीकी विनियमन) आदेश, 2024, भारत का राजपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II, खंड 3, उप-खंड (ii) में अधिसूचना संख्या का.आ. 3649(अ), दिनांक 28 अगस्त, 2024 द्वारा प्रकाशित किया गया था।
इसके अलावा, आदेश को मशीनरी और विद्युत उपकरण सुरक्षा (सार्वत्रिक तकनीकी विनियमन) संशोधन आदेश, 2025 के माध्यम से अधिसूचना संख्या का.आ. 2579(अ) दिनांक 12 जून, 2025 द्वारा संशोधित किया गया था।

ORDER
New Delhi, the 13th November, 2025
S.O. 5179(E).—Whereas in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 read with section 17 and section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient so to do in the public interest, and in consultation with the Bureau of Indian Standards, hereby makes the following Order to amend the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024, namely:–
- (1) This Order may be called the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Second Amendment Order, 2025.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
- In the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024, in Paragraph 1, sub-Paragraph (2) the words “after one year from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette”, which were amended to “on the 1st September, 2026” vide Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Amendment Order, 2025, the words “from such date as may be notified by the Central Government in the Official Gazette” shall be substituted.

Note: The principal Order, namely, the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024, was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O. 3649(E), dated the 28th August, 2024.Further the order was amended through the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Amendment Order, 2025 vide Notification No. S.O. 2579(E) dated 12th June 2025.
