Dear Market Participants,
This is to inform all that NPCI has issued additional set of guidelines on the usage of UPI APIs vide Circular No. NPCI/UPI/OC/215A/2025-26 which require UPI AutoPay mandate execution requests to be initiated only during non-peak hours. Peak hours are defined by NPCI as 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
Accordingly, all concerned stakeholders are requested to:
- Review their existing UPI AutoPay mandate execution processes.
- Ensure that mandate execution requests are scheduled only during NPCI-prescribed non-peak hours.
- Take all necessary actions to comply with the directions issued by NPCI and communicated by respective Payment Aggregators.
Members are advised to treat this communication as important and ensure compliance.
