NOTICE Notice No. 20260527-40 Notice Date 27 May 2026 Category Trading Segment Mutual Fund Department Trading Operations Subject Revision to FATCA/UBO File Structure and Validations on BSE StAR MF Platform Attachments Annexure_I With reference to notice no. 20260212-29 dated February 12, 2026, and earlier circulars issued in this regard, Members are hereby informed that the Registrar and Transfer Agents (RTAs) are revising the FATCA/UBO file structure. The revised structure includes addition of 17 additional fields, modifications in certain existing fields, and introduction of additional validation rules. Accordingly, the BSE StAR MF platform shall also be updated to align with the revised FATCA/UBO requirements. Members are requested to take note of the revised file structure and make the necessary changes in their respective systems, processes, and interfaces within the prescribed timelines. This is to inform all concerned stakeholders that the following changes have been introduced in the FATCA/UBO reporting structure: Sr. No. Particulars Description 1 Additional Fields Added The FATCA/UBO file structure has been expanded by adding 17 new fields. (Refer Annexure I) 2 Additional Validation to Existing Fields New validation rules have been implemented for the fields PO_BIR_INC (Field 10), CO_BIR_INC (Field 11), UBO_PAN (Field 46), LOG_NAME (Field 73), and NPO_RGNO (Field 83). (Refer Annexure I) 3 Mandatory Declaration Requirement The “TIN NA Declaration Form” shall be mandatory in cases where “NA” is selected under ID1_TYPE, ID2_TYPE, ID3_TYPE, or ID4_TYPE. The aforesaid changes shall be applicable across the User Interface (UI), bulk file upload utility, and APIs made available on the BSE StAR MF platform. The scheduled go-live date for the implementation is August 31, 2026. The UAT deployment date will be communicated separately. All the members using third party vendor solutions and/or in-house developed trading application are hereby requested to complete their development, integration, and testing activities accordingly to ensure timely readiness and smooth implementation of the above changes.
