सा.का.जन. 587(अ).—केंद्रीर् सरकार, प्रजतस्ट्पधाय अजधजनर्म, 2002 (2003 का 12) की धारा 16 की उपधारा
(1क), उपधारा (3) और उपधारा (4) के साथ पठित धारा 63 की उपधारा (2) के खंड (घक), खण्ड (ङ) और खण्ड (च)
द्वारा प्रित्त िजिर्ों का प्रर्ोग करते हुए, भारतीर् प्रजतस्ट्पधाय आर्ोग (अपर महाजनिेिक, संर्ुि महाजनिेिक, उप
महाजनिेिक र्ा सहार्क महाजनिेिक, अन्र् अजधकाठरर्ों तथा कमयचाठरर्ों की संख्र्ा, उनकी जनर्ुजि की रीजत, अहयताएं,
वेतन, भत्ते और सेवा के अन्र् जनबंधन और ितें) जनर्म, 2009, का संिोधन करने के जलए जनम्नजलजखत जनर्म बनाती है,
अथायत्:–
1.
(1) इन जनर्मों का संजिप्त नाम भारतीर् प्रजतस्ट्पधाय आर्ोग (अपर महाजनिेिक, संर्ुि महाजनिेिक, उप
महाजनिेिक र्ा सहार्क महाजनिेिक, अन्र् अजधकाठरर्ों तथा कमयचाठरर्ों की संख्र्ा, उनकी जनर्ुजि की रीजत, अहयताएं,
वेतन, भत्ते और सेवा के अन्र् जनबंधन और ितें) संिोधन जनर्म, 2023 है।
(2) र्े रािपत्र में इनके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे।
2. भारतीर् प्रजतस्ट्पधाय आर्ोग (अपर महाजनिेिक, संर्ुि महाजनिेिक, उप महाजनिेिक र्ा सहार्क महाजनिेिक,
अन्र् अजधकाठरर्ों तथा कमयचाठरर्ों की संख्र्ा, उनकी जनर्ुजि की रीजत, अहयताएं, वेतन, भत्ते और सेवा के अन्र् जनबंधन
और ितें) जनर्म, 2009 (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात उि जनर्म कहा गर्ा है) के, जनर्म 7 के पश्चात, जनम्नजलजखत जनर्म

"7क.
चर्न सजमजत चर्न के जलए अपनी प्रदक्रर्ा तैर्ार करेगी और जनर्ुजि के जलए कम से कम तीन नामों के पैनल की
जसफाठरि करेगी और आर्ोग चर्न सजमजत द्वारा केंद्रीर् सरकार का पूवय अनुमोिन प्राप्त करने के पश्चात, जसफाठरि दकए
गए दकसी व्यजि को, जनर्ुि करेगा।"।

उि जनर्मों की अनुसूची-3 में,-
(i) क्रम संख्र्ा 1 के सामने, -
(क) स्ट्तंभ (4) में, स्ट्तंभ िीर्यक और उससे संबंजधत प्रजवजिर्ों के स्ट्थान पर, जनम्नजलजखत स्ट्तंभ िीर्यक और प्रजवजिर्ां रखी
िाएंगी, अथायत्:–
"वेतन मैठरक्स में स्ट्तर

(ख)
स्ट्तंभ (12) में, "8700 रुपर्े के ग्रेड वेतन में िो वर्य का र्ा 7600 रुपर्े, ग्रेड वेतन " िब्िों के स्ट्थान पर, "वेतन
स्ट्तर-13 में िो वर्य का र्ा वेतन स्ट्तर-12" िब्ि रखे िाएंगे;
(ग)
स्ट्तंभ (13) में, जवद्यमान प्रजवजिर्ों के स्ट्थान पर, जनम्नजलजखत प्रजवजिर्ां रखी िाएंगी, अथायत्:–

New Delhi, the 4th August, 2023
G.S.R. 587(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (da), (e) and (f) of sub-section (2) of section 63
read with sub-sections (1A), (3) and (4) of section 16 of the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003), the Central
Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Competition Commission of India (Number of
Additional, Joint, Deputy or Assistant Director-General other officers and employees, their manner of appointment,
qualification, salary, allowances and other terms and conditions of service) Rules, 2009, namely: –
1. (1) These rules may be called the Competition Commission of India (Number of Additional, Joint, Deputy or
Assistant Director-General, other officers and employees, their manner of appointment, qualification, salary,

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Competition Commission of India (Number of Additional, Joint, Deputy or Assistant Director-General
other officers and employees, their manner of appointment, qualification, salary, allowances and other terms and
conditions of service) Rules, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), after rule 7, the following rule shall be
inserted, namely: -
“7A. Selection Committee shall devise its own procedure for selection and recommend a panel of at least three names
for appointment and the Commission shall appoint any person recommended by the selection committee after
obtaining prior approval of the Central Government”.

In Schedule III to the said rules,-
