Notification No. 68 /2025-26 New Delhi, Dated: 27th March 2026
Subject : Amendment in import policy condition of Urea [Exim Code 31021010] in the ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy) - Regarding.
S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development &Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2023, as amended from time to time, and in continuation of Notification Nos. 54/2015-20 dated 24.02.2023, 61/2015-20 dated 22.03.2023, 79/2023 dated 18.03.2024 and 65/2024-25 dated 18.03.2025, the Central Government hereby extends the STE status of Indian Potash Limited (IPL) till 31.03.2027 for import of Urea on Government account, by amendment in Import Policy Condition under ITC(HS) Code 31021010 of Chapter 31 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy). All other terms and conditions remain the same as in the Notification No. 79/2023 dated 18.03.2024.
Effect of this Notification: Import of Urea (Agricultural grade) on Government account is allowed through Indian Potash Limited (IPL), subject to Para 2.21(imports by State Trading Enterprises) of FTP 2023, till 31.03.2027.
This is issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
