“REFRESHER COURSE FOR AUDIT OFFICERS”
(06th - 10th JULY, 2026)
AIM:
The Refresher Course for Audit Officers aims to strengthen the professional competence of officers engaged in audit functions within EPFO by enhancing their understanding of contemporary auditing practices, vigilance dimensions, risk-based auditing, audit reporting and emerging challenges in governance and compliance. The programme seeks to equip participants with the knowledge and practical insights necessary to conduct effective audits that contribute to transparency, accountability and improved organizational performance.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The programme is designed to:
- Refresh and update participants' knowledge of audit manual, standards and practices relevant to EPFO.
- Enhance understanding of risk-based auditing, internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Develop skills for identifying systemic deficiencies, compliance gaps and vigilance-related issues during audits.
- Strengthen the capacity of participants to prepare clear, evidence-based and actionable audit observations and reports.
- Familiarize participants with emerging trends in auditing, including technology-enabled audit processes and data-driven scrutiny.
- Promote a constructive audit approach focused on improving institutional effectiveness, accountability and service delivery.
- Provide a platform for exchange of experiences and best practices among audit officers from different offices of EPFO
METHODOLOGY:
The programme will adopt a participative and practice-oriented approach comprising:
- Expert lectures by experienced practitioners and subject-matter specialists;
- Interactive discussions on contemporary audit issues and challenges;
- Case studies based on actual audit observations and institutional experiences;
- Sessions on vigilance perspectives and governance-related concerns in audit;

- Question-and-answer sessions to facilitate clarification of operational issues.

The programme is intended for officers involved in audit-related functions in EPFO, including:
