It has been observed that a significant number of APARs for the year 2024-25 are still pending at the level of the Reviewing Officer, even after the lapse of last date for comments by the Reviewing Officer (February 16th, 2026), as per the circular dated 12.02.2026. In view of the pending AP ARs, the Competent Authority has agreed to further revise the timelines for completion of various APAR activities for the year 2024-25. The revised timelines at the level of the reviewing officers have been extended till 02.03.2026, and are as under: s. Activity Timeline (Date on Auto No. or before) Forward 1 Completion of APAR by Reviewing Officer and 02.03.2026 03.03.2026 forwarding to Administration/CR Section 2 Disclosure of APAR to the Officer Reported Upon 05.03.2026 - Within 15 days from 3 Submission of representation by ORU, if any disclosure i.e., - 20.03.2026 4 Forwarding of representation by APAR Custodian 25.03.2026 - to Competent Authority 5 Disposal of representation by Competent Authority 24.04.2026 - and forwarding to AP AR Custodian Communication of decision to ORU by APAR Within 3 days from 6 finalization of - Custodian decision 7 Completion of AP AR process and final taking on 27.04.2026 - record 4. It is reiterated that the timelines highlighted are the maximum timelines beyond which the AP ARs will be automatically pushed to the next level. Reviewing authorities and AP AR Custodians are requested to process the cases pending at their level even before the due dates. 5.
