संया : A-11012/24/2025-E - III िदनांक: 09-02-2026 परप / CIRCULAR Subject: Creation of Quality Assurance, Accreditation & Patient Safety Cell under Medical Service Division at Hqrs. Office. Approval of the Director General is hereby communicated for creation of Quality Assurance, Accreditation & Patient Safety Cell under Medical Service Division at Hqrs. Office. The Quality Assurance, Accreditation & Patient Safety Cell will examine existing national quality certification frameworks such as NABH, NABL, and NQAS and adopt the suitable model for ESI health institutions, with or without necessary customization. It will also establish a structured institutional mechanism for assessment and certification, by leveraging existing accreditation and certification bodies. A key responsibility of the Cell will be to monitor implementation of quality protocols through trained quality assessors, ensure coordination with recognized accreditation agencies in India, and oversee the sustenance of quality standards in all ESI health facilities that have already been certified. Quality Assurance, Accreditation & Patient Safety Cell under Medical Service Division shall start functioning with the following manpower for the time being: a. Administrative Medical Officer / Medical Officer (CMO-NFSG or above) – Officer in-charge/Nodal Officer: Dr. Atul Kumar, Officer on Special Duty (Medical Services). b. Young Professional - 02 (additional work may be given to the existing Young Professionals namely Ms. Himani & Ms. Jasmine Kaur posted in Medical Service Division). Further necessary instructions regarding detailed functioning of the aforesaid Cell may be issued by Medical Service Division.
