The enclosed SOP document outlines detailed procedures covering all core dispensary functions, i.e., patient registration, clinical consultations, emergency services, pharmacy operations, laboratory diagnostics, infection control, biomedical waste management, and more. Its implementation will optimize resource utilization, reduce service variability, and strengthen compliance with both ESIC guidelines and broader national health mandates, including alignment with the National Health Mission and Ayushman Bharat principles. All concerned field units are requested to widely circulate these SOPs to all the ESI Dispensaries and ensure that the IMO‑In‑Charge of every facility organizes a staff orientation session to familiarize all healthcare and support personnel with these procedures. The active co-operation and participation of field units and Dispensaries is encouraged, which shall be instrumental in achieving uniform, good- quality primary healthcare for our beneficiaries.
