Subject: Withdrawal of Method for determination of fruit content in fruit juices - reg.
The method for determination of fruit content in fruit juices (method no. 2.11) available in the Manual of Methods of Analysis of Foods- Fruit and Vegetable Products is hereby withdrawn.
Until a revised method for determination of fruit content in fruit juices is approved by the Food Authority, the food testing laboratories may adopt any validated method of analysis prescribed by AOAC/ International Organization for Standardization (ISO) / Pearson's/ Jacob/ International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry/ Food Chemicals CODEX/ Bureau of Indian Standards/ Woodmen/ Winton-Winton/ Joslyn or any other internationally recognized regulatory agencies.
All FSSAI notified food testing laboratories are directed to comply with this order with immediate effect.
This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
