IRDA/Reg/2/92/2015 dated 17th March, 2015 titled as Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Micro Insurance) Regulations, 2015 F. No. IRDA/Reg/6/96/2015.—Whereas the Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 114A(1) of the Insurance Act, 1938 (4 of 1938) read with sections 14 and 26 of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999, in consultation with the Insurance Advisory Committee, issued and published Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Micro Insurance) Regulations, 2015 vide notification no. IRDA/Reg/2/92/2015 on 17th March, 2015 in the Gazette of India. The Authority hereby issues corrigendum in respect of corrections in the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Micro Insurance) Regulations, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as Regulations) as under: 1. In the introductory para /preamble of the Regulations, the words “of India” appearing after Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority shall be deleted. 2. In Regulation 2 (b) the words “of India” appearing after Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority shall be deleted. 3. The existing sub-regulation/clause(4) of Regulation 12 shall be substituted by the following: “The remuneration under Micro Insurance Products payable to Insurance Agents and to registered Insurance Intermediaries other than the Micro Insurance Agents shall be in accordance to the provisions of the respective applicable Regulations/provisions of the Insurance Act, 1938 as amended from time to time.” 4. In Schedule I, the sentence below the table under sr. no.i, shall be substituted by the following: “Maximum Sum Assured limits under Crop Insurance to be reckoned on per season/per crop basis” . T.S.
