L.-33004/99 vlk/kj.k EXTRAORDINARY Hkkx III—[k.M 4 PART III—Section 4 izkf/dkj ls izdkf'kr PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY la- 168] ubZ fnYyh] lkseokj] ebZ 20] 2019@oS'kk[k 30] 1941 No. 168] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, MAY 20, 2019/VAISAKHA 30, 1941 भारतीय बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण भारतीय बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण भारतीय बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण भारतीय बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण अिधसूचना अिधसूचना अिधसूचना अिधसूचना हैदराबाद, 15 मई, 2019 भारतीय बीमा वनयामक और वकास ाधकरण (नयुत बीमांकक) (संशोधन) वनयम, 2019 फा. सं. भा.बी. व. व.ा./ वनयम/5/156/2019.—बीमा अिधिनयम, 1938 (1938 का 4) क धारा 114ए क उप-धारा (2) के खंड (जेडडी) एवं बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण अिधिनयम, 1999 क धारा 14 और 26 #ारा द% शि'य( का योग करते ,ए, ािधकरण, बीमा सलाहकार सिमित के साथ परामश0 करने के बाद इसके #ारा भारतीय बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण (िनयु' बीमांकक) िविनयम, 2017 म6 िन7िलिखत संशोधन करता है, अथा0त् :- 1. संि:; नाम और ारंभ क. ये िविनयम भारतीय बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण (िनयु' बीमांकक) (संशोधन) िविनयम, 2019 कहलाएँगे। ख. ये िविनयम सरकारी राजप< म6 इनके काशन क तारीख को वृ% ह(गे। 2. भारतीय बीमा िविनयामक और िवकास ािधकरण (िनयु' बीमांकक) िविनयम, 2017 म6 – क. िविनयम 6 म6- i) उप-िविनयम 6(ख) के बाद िन7िलिखत को िनिव? @कया जाएगा, अथा0त् :- “(ग): Aवसाय क िनरंतरता के िलए, बीमाकता0 को एक वष0 से आगे अितDर' अविध के िलए िविनयम 5 से छूट क आवIयकता हो सकती है। बीमाकता0 #ारा अनुरोध @कये जाने पर और मामले के गुण-दोष के आधार पर अJय: दो वष0 से अनिधक अितDर' अविध के िलए समय-िवKतार दान कर सकता है।” डॉ. सुभाष सी. खुंDटआ, अJय: [िवNापन-III/4/असा. /53/19] 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC. 4] INSURANCE REGULATORY AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF INDIA NOTIFICATION Hyderabad, the 15th May, 2019 Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Appointed Actuary) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019 F. No. IRDA/Reg/5/156/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (zd) of subsection (2) of Section 114A of Insurance Act, 1938 (4 of 1938) and sections 14 and 26 of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999, the Authority, in consultation with the Insurance Advisory Committee, hereby makes the following amendment to the IRDAI (Appointed Actuary) Regulations, 2017, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement a. These Regulations may be called the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Appointed Actuary) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019. b. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the IRDAI (Appointed Actuary) Regulations, 2017- a. In Regulation 6- i) the following shall be inserted after sub-regulation 6(b), namely: - “(c): For business continuance, the insurer may need exemption from Regulation 5 for a further period beyond one year. Upon request of the insurer and based on merits of the case, the Chairperson may grant extension for a further period not exceeding two years.” Dr. SUBHASH C.
