The purpose was to check do-duplication of POS enro!k.d by insurers and insurance intemiediarics. Therefore the Al;'ldhaar number was tak.en as the uniquo identifying field to checit de-duphca!icn. Going forward it was viewe<t that ttle same logic could be extended to insurance agents and tfirned ancS qualifie0 persons o! insut'ance mtermediaries 1ha! would include broker quelihcd persons. specified persons ot corporate agents, authorised vcfifiers (of web aggregator wilh Aadhaar number as the unique idci)hfyi11g fiekl. Since IIB ha$ successfulty demonstrated the un:::letslandlng and capabilities in developing the Pc ,nl of Salesperson portal, the Au1hority is of the view that such a portal shall be developeci and housed m IIB. In order to ach:eve the c'b;ed i:ve 110 has been asked to develop lho portal for uploading me Aadhsar numbct and other de~ails ot insurance agents on the lines of POS. The insurers are U'lercfcre advised to collect tho same so as to be ready ~o upload the necessary infonnalion on 1he date to be communicated by tho Authority in due wuiso Tt·,e same port.RI will also be available to insurance in;ermediades.
