• JI~ e,1,MM INSURANCE REGULATORY AND irJai DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF INDIA Ref No: IRDA/INT/CIR/INSREP32/Q2/2016 Date: 20th February, 2016 Circular To All Life Insures & I Rs Sub: Uploading the slA data on iTrex (Insurance Transaction Exchange) Server The Authority has released the "Revised Guidelines on Insurance Repositories and electronic issuance of Insurance policies" on 29th May, 2015 wherein, the creation of Shell Insurance Accounts and KYC Repository at the iTrex (Insurance Transaction Exchange) are envisaged. Accordingly, the iTrex has been upgraded to create Shell Insurance Accounts and also to provide KYC repository services. 2. As per Clause 21 of the above guidelines, the Insurers are required to upload certain details in respect of all policyholders for creation of Shell Insurance Accounts that would lead to roll out of KYC repository services. It is now advised that the Insurers shall take following steps to upload data in respect of each of the policies held by their respective policyholders. (i) Complete initial upload of the existing policyholder data up to 31 st December, 2015 by 31st March, 2016. The manner in which the initial upload will have to be completed is detailed in Annexure I. Before any such upload, insurers are strongly advised to have a de-duplication done at their level to ensure that a policyholder does not have multiple customer ID's. (ii). For the incremental data (policyholder data from 1st January, 2016 and for all subsequent dates), the Insurers may use the web-services created by iTrex for this purpose. The data formats for web services shall be as per Annexure II to this circular. The help file can be downloaded from https://www.iTrex.in. A copy of the same is enclosed as Annexure-II1. ~ . It may be noted that the iTrex currently has a Test server which can be used by the Insurers to test the functionality anytime. The iTrex production server is fully functional and the Insurers may start uploading the data from 29th February, 2016. The configuration details with respect to the Test and Production Servers of iTrex can be downloaded from https://www.itrex.in. A copy of the same is enclosed as Annexure-lV. 5. The Insurers are advised to confirm the status of uploading of data on a weekly basis starting from ih March, 2016 to Shri. It may be noted that the process of developing an online application for submission of this data is currently in progress.
