The scheme since then is being administered/ regulated by PFRDA in which any citizen between 18-40 years can be enrolled for making contributions in the scheme. Recently total enrolments under APY have crossed 2.48 Crore mark and we expect achieving 3 Crore mark by 31 st March, 2021. The major contributors in this exceptional growth in APY are Public sector banks, Private sector banks and RRBs. However, till date APY coverage is around 6% of eligible populaåon of 18-40 years and therefore, it becomes imperative to put in more efforts in order to increase the APY coverage. Further, in order to monitor performance of the banks and districts, MTS are being sent by PFRDA on monthly basis. Accordingly, the role of SLBCs/UTLBCs has become vital to ensure increase in coverage of APY within the State/ UT. Keeping in view the above, we request SLBCs/UTLBCs to keep APY as an important agenda for all upcoming SLBC/UTLBCs meetings and share Invitation with PFRDA as well for attending such meetings please. You will appreciate that our participation in SLBC/UTLBC meetings shal.l provide common platform to all stakeholders for exchangmg their experiences, strategies, concerns and solutions.
