RBI issues Draft (Securitisation Transactions) Amendment Directions

In line with the objective to improve efficiency, liquidity and transparency in issuance and subsequent transfer of Securitisation Notes (SNs), RBI has today issued following draft Amendment Directions for public comments:

a) Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks - Securitisation Transactions) Amendment Directions, 2026

b) Reserve Bank of India (Small Finance Banks - Securitisation Transactions) Amendment Directions, 2026

c) Reserve Bank of India (Non-Banking Financial Companies - Securitisation Transactions) Amendment Directions, 2026

d) Reserve Bank of India (All India Financial Institutions - Securitisation Transactions) Amendment Directions, 2026

2. The comments on the draft guidelines are invited from public / stakeholders by August 27, 2026. The comments/ feedback may be submitted through the link under the ‘Connect2Regulate’ Section available on the Reserve Bank’s website. Comments may alternatively be forwarded to The Chief General Manager, Credit Risk Group, Department of Regulation, Central Office Reserve Bank of India, 12th / 13th Floor Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg, Fort Mumbai – 400 001 or by email.
