सा.का.जन. 59(अ).— केंद्रीय सरकार, िीिन बीमा जनगम अजधजनयम, 1956 (1956 का 31) की धारा 48 द्वारा
प्रित् त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, िीिन बीमा जनगम साधारण जनयम, 1956 में और संिोधन करने के जलए जनम् नजलजखत
जनयम बनाती है, अर्ाात:-
1. सजिप् त नाम और प्रारंभ – इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम िीिन बीमा जनगम साधारण (संिोधन) जनयम, 2026 है।
(2) ये जनयम रािपत्र में उनके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रभािी होंगे।
2. िीिन बीमा जनगम साधारण जनयम, 1956 में जनयम 5 के उपजनयम (1) के खंड (i) में :-
(i) “चार िर्ा की एक और अिजध” िब् िों के स्ट् र्ान पर “चार िर्ा तक की एक और अिजध के जलए पुनर्नायुजि” िब् ि
रखे िाएंगे।
(ii) परंतुक में, “चार िर्ा की एक और अिजध” िब् िों के स्ट् र्ान पर “चार िर्ा तक की एक और अिजध” िब् ि रखे िाएंगे।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th January, 2026
G.S.R. 59(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 of the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956
(31 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Life Insurance Corporation
General Rules, 1956, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—These rules may be called the Life Insurance Corporation General (Amendment)
Rules, 2026.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Life Insurance Corporation General Rules, 1956, in rule 5, in sub-rule (1), in clause (i), —
(i)
for the words “one further term of four years”, the words “reappointment for one further term of up to four years”
shall be substituted;
(ii) in the proviso, for the words “one further term of four years”, the words “one further term of up to four years”
shall be substituted.
