सा.का.जि. 536(अ).— केन्द्रीय सरकार, जर्जधक माप जर्ज्ञाि अजधजियम 2009, (2010 का 1) की धारा 52 की
उपधारा (2) के खंड (ग), खंड (च), खंड (ि), खंड (झ) और खंड (ध) के साथ पठित उपधारा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त िजक्तयों का
प्रयोग करते हुए, जर्जधक मापजर्ज्ञाि (सामान्द्य) जियम, 2011 को और संिोजधत करिे के जलए जिम्नजलजखत जियम बिाती
है, अथावत्:-
1.
संजिप्त िाम और प्रारंभ- (1) इि जियमों का संजिप्त िाम जर्जधक माप जर्ज्ञाि (सामान्द्य) पांचर्ां संिोधि जियम,
2025 होगा।
(2) ये रािपत्र में प्रकािि की तारीख से प्रर्ृत्त होंगे।
2. जर्जधक मापजर्ज्ञाि (सामान्द्य) जियम, 2011 की आिर्ीं अिुसूची के भाग VI के भाग ग में, -
(i) पैरा 3 के स्ट्थाि पर जिम्नजलजखत रखा िाएगा, अथावत्:-
“(1) एक पूणव थमावमीटर में दकसी भी सूचक यूजिट से िुडी एक तापमाि अन्द्र्ेषी िलाका होती है।
(2) उपकरण जिम्नजलजखत में से दकसी एक प्रकार का होगा:-

(i) दकसी सूचक यूजिट से िुडी हुई एक अन्द्तवबिल तापमाि अन्द्र्ेषी िलाका िो अन्द्र्ेषी िलाका को जर्जिष्ट प्रजतदिया
के साथ अिुकूल है; या
(ii) स्ट्थायी रूप से िुडी हुई एक तापमाि अन्द्र्ेषी िलाका और एक सूचक यूजिट।”;
(ii) पैरा 5 के उपपैरा (1) में, खंड (i) में,-
(क) “36.9° सेजल्सयस से 37.1° सेजल्सयस तक तापमाि पर” अंकों, िब्िों और अिरों के स्ट्थाि पर “37° सेजल्सयस ± 1°
सेजल्सयस पर” अंक, िब्ि और अिर रखे िाएंगे।;
(ख) ठटप्पणी (2) में, “5(2)(7)” अंकों और कोष्ठकों के स्ट्थाि पर “5(2)(i)” अंक और कोष्ठक रखे िाएंगे।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th August, 2025
G.S.R. 536(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clauses (c), (f), (h), (i) and
(s) of sub-section (2) of section 52 of the Legal Metrology Act 2009, (1 of 2010), the Central Government hereby makes
the following rules further to amend the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011, namely:-

Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules shall be called the Legal Metrology (General) Fifth Amendment
Rules, 2025.
(2)
They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011, in the EIGHTH SCHEDULE, in PART VI, in PART C, -
(i) for paragraph 3, the following shall be substituted, namely: -
“(1) A complete thermometer consists of a temperature probe connected to any indicating unit.
(2) The instrument shall be of one of the following types:-
(i) an interchangeable temperature probe connected to an indicating unit that is compatible with the
characteristic response of the probe; or
(ii) a temperature probe and an indicating unit permanently connected.”;
(ii) in paragraph 5, in sub-paragraph (1), in clause (i),-
(a) for the words, figures and letters “maintained at a temperature range of 36.9°C to 37.1°C”, the words, figures and
letters “at 37°C± 1 °C” shall be substituted;
(b) in Note (2) , for the figures and brackets “5(2)(7)”, the figures and brackets “5(2)(i)” shall be substituted.
