सा.का.जन. 634(अ).— राष्ट्रपजत, संजवधान के अनुच्छेि 309 के परंतुक द्वारा प्रित्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए
भारतीय रेल पुस्ट्तकालय और सूचना अजधकारी, सहायक पुस्ट्तकालय और सूचना अजधकारी भती जनयम, 2022 को संिोजधत
करते हुए जनम्नजलजखत जनयम बनाती हैं, अर्ाडत् :
1. (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम भारतीय रेल पुस्ट्तकालय और सूचना अजधकारी, सहायक पुस्ट्तकालय और सूचना
अजधकारी (संिोधन) जनयम, 2025 है।
(2) ये रािपत्र में उनके प्रकािन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे।
2. भारतीय रेल पुस्ट्तकालय और सूचना अजधकारी, सहायक पुस्ट्तकालय और सूचना अजधकारी भती जनयम, 2022 में,
पुस्ट्तकालय और सूचना अजधकारी के पि से संबंजधत, अनुसूची में क्रम संख्या 1 के सामने, स्ट्तंभ (11) में, -

(क) “प्रोन्नजत द्वारा” िीर्डक के अधीन, -
(i)
“सात वर्ड” िब्िों के स्ट्र्ान पर, “नौ वर्ड” िब्िों को रखा िाएगा;
(ii)
“टिप्पण–” िब्ि के स्ट्र्ान पर, “टिप्पण 1:”िब्ि और अंककोरखा िाएगा;
(iii)
इस प्रकार टिप्पण 1 के प्रजतस्ट्र्ापन के पश्चात्, जनम्नजलजखत टिप्पण अंतःस्ट्र्ाजपत दकया िाएगा, अर्ाडत् :-
“टिप्पण 2: इन जनयमों की अजधसूचना की तारीख को जनयजमत आधार परपोर्क संवगड पिों को धारण करने वाले
पिधाटरयों की प्रोन्नजत के जलए पात्रता सेवा सात वर्ड बनी रहेगी।”;
(ख)
“प्रजतजनयुजि” िीर्डक के अधीन,-
(i)
खंड (क) के स्ट्र्ान पर,जनम्नजलजखत खंडों को रखा िाएगा, अर्ाडत्:-
“(क) (i) मूल काडर या जवभाग में जनयजमत आधार पर सिृि पि पर हो; अर्वा
(ii) मूल काडर या जवभाग में वेतन मैटरक्स में स्ट्तर-10(56100-177500 रुपये) मेंजनयजमत आधार पर
पि पर जनयुजि के बाि पांच वर्ड की सेवा सजहत या समतुल्य; अर्वा
(iii) मूल काडर या जवभाग में वेतन मैटरक् स में स्ट् तर-9 (53100-167800 रुपये) में जनयजमत आधार पर
पि पर जनयुजि के बाि सात वर्ड की सेवा सजहत या समतुल्य; अर्वा
(iv) मूल काडर या जवभाग में वेतन मैटरक् स में स्ट् तर-8 (47600-151100 रुपये) में जनयजमत आधार पर
पि पर जनयुजि के बाि आठ वर्ड की सेवा सजहत या समतुल्य; अर्वा
(v) मूल काडर या जवभाग में वेतन मैटरक् स में स्ट् तर-7 (44900-142400 रुपये) में जनयजमत आधार पर
पि पर जनयुजि के बाि नौ वर्ड की सेवा सजहत या समतुल्य; और”.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th September, 2025
G.S.R. 634(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the
President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Indian Railways Library and Information Officer, Assistant
Library and Information Officer Recruitment Rules, 2022, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Railways Library and Information Officer, Assistant Library and
Information Officer (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

In the Indian Railways Library and Information Officer, Assistant Library and Information Officer
Recruitment Rules, 2022, in the Schedule against serial number 1, relating to the post of Library and Information
Officer, in column (11), -
(a) under the heading “By Promotion”,-
(i)
for the words “seven years”, the words “nine years” shall be substituted;
(ii)
for the word “Note –”, the word and figure “Note 1:” shall be substituted;
(iii)
after Note 1 as so substituted, the following Note shall be inserted, namely:-
“Note 2: The eligibility service for promotion of incumbents holding feeder cadre posts on regular basis on
the date of notification of these rules shall continue to be seven years.”;
(b) under the heading “Deputation”,-
(i)
for clause (a), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely:-
“(a) (i) holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in
level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or
department; or
(iii) with seven years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in
level-9 (Rs. 53100-167800) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or
department; or
(iv) with eight years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in
level-8 (Rs. 47600-151100) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or
department; or
(v) with nine years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in
level-7 (Rs. 44900-142400) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or
department; and”.
